Welcome to Food & Nutrition Services at RSU 23
Here we strive to serve all of our district’s students with healthy, filling, and tasty breakfasts and lunches every day. In compliance with nutrition standards set by the United States Department of Agriculture, our meals all contain a variety of items, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and Oakhurst milk.
Payments for a la carte items (offered for grades 5 & up) can be paid at your child’s cafeteria with cash or a check. Payments may also be made on www.myschoolbucks.com. (Please note there is a $2.75 charge for each transaction made on MySchoolBucks).
Breakfast
FREE FOR ALL STUDENTS!
As you may have heard, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. This is especially true for students who need the nutrients from breakfast to focus and excel in school each day. Students may choose from whole grains, fruits, 100% juices, and milks every day at breakfast. Vitamins and minerals found in fruits are extremely important to growth and overall health, so each breakfast must contain a fruit or 100% fruit juice.
Lunch
FREE FOR ALL STUDENTS!
Breakfast may be the most important meal of the day, but lunch is a favorite time of day for many students! It’s also important for keeping minds and bodies fueled for the remainder of the school day. Each day at lunch, entrées including whole grains and proteins are served, as well as fruits, vegetables, and milks. Each day, OOBHS and Loranger offer a salad bar.
