Food and Nutrition Services will never allow your child to go without a meal during the school day. However, we sincerely request your assistance in making sure your child has sufficient money in their meal account to cover the cost of meals. If your child does have to charge meals due to insufficient funds in their account, phone calls and letters from the Food and Nutrition Services Manager will be made in an attempt to reach you and notify you of the charges. As a reminder, Free and Reduced Price Meal benefits are available for families who apply and qualify for such benefits.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation.
