What I do
Mr. Suttie enjoys running, exercising, reading, and watching movies. He loves the ocean and spending days at the beach during the summer. He has been a lifelong hockey player and still enjoys getting out on the ice and skating during the winter.
This is Mr. Suttie’s sixth year in the Old Orchard Beach School System. His first two years he served as the OOBHS Principal and in the past four years he has added the title of RSU 23 Superintendent of Schools. He loves working daily with students of all ages as well as parents and community leaders. His goal is to make Old Orchard Beach Schools the best in the region.
Mr. Suttie taught special education for twelve years, and physical education for nine years. He coached high school football for twenty-two years and was a baseball umpire for twenty years. He has been an assistant principal at Bonny Eagle High School, and Kennebunk High School. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts at UMaine Farmington, and his Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership, and his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Leadership, Ethics, and Change, at the University of New England.
